Intensive Therapy Unit
It also has a monitoring center with continuous recording of the patient’s vital parameters, with memory from the last 72 hours. The Surgical Center is equipped to transmit the procedures, via Link, to auditoriums or other surgery rooms and it has a refrigeration center by laminar flow with absolute antibacterial filter, which drastically reduces risk from infections (this measure is reinforced by a ozonation system in the hospital’s laundry).


Exams and Laboratory
The clinical analysis laboratory operates all day long, and the image exams sector has services in hemodynamics, computed tomography, ultrasound and X-ray.

In hemodynamics sector, the Hospital do Coração has digital equipment that enables 3D visualization (the first one to be installed in Latin America).
Otolaryngology
In the otolaryngology field, a cochlear implant surgery was recently realized in the hospital. This is a highly complex procedure, realized for the first time in the North-Northeast of Brazil by Dr. Rodolpho Penna Lima Júnior.
